PAWS

PAWS: People helping animals.

It would be nice to think that everyone cares about animals.  Unfortunately, countless cases of neglect and abuse say that isn’t true.  At least organization is working for the welfare of all animals: PAWS.

Located in Lynwood, WA, this small organization is part shelter, part wildlife rehabilitation center for wild animals.  It’s not unusual to find seals, bear cubs or even raccoons recovering there.

The message they want to share is to let everyone know to spay and neuter their pets to control the pet population and avoid unwanted animals.  You can adopt a pet at their main location or a cat at their newest location, Cat City, in Seattle.  Even if you’re not in the market for a pet, you can still visit.

They will never turn away an animal no matter how sick or injured.  Instead, the dedicated staff and volunteers will do everything in their power to rehabilitate (if it’s a wild animal) or adopt the animal out.
