Last month, your favorite science expert celebrated his birthday: Bill Nye the Science Guy! One of the most prominent faces of popular science, Nye has been in the public spotlight since the original airing of his popular show, Bill Nye the Science Guy began in 1993.
Today, everyone’s favorite science guy is still actively involved in the science, entertainment, and education scenes—plus, he was a recent competitor on the popular television show, Dancing With the Stars.
Last year, Nye spoke up for educating students about evolution and not creationism, saying, “creationism cannot predict anything, and it cannot provide satisfactory answers about the past… Teaching creationism in science class as an alternative to evolution is inappropriate.”
